Air Traffic Instructors are responsible for providing instruction and guidance to air traffic controllers in the operation of air traffic control systems. They must be knowledgeable in the rules and regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and must be able to effectively communicate these regulations to controllers. They must also be able to evaluate the performance of controllers and provide feedback and guidance. Air Traffic Instructors must also be able to develop and implement training programs for controllers.
