They use a variety of tools and techniques to assess the patient’s condition and develop a plan of care. This includes taking measurements, analyzing gait patterns, and performing range of motion tests. They also fabricate and fit orthotic devices, such as braces, splints, and orthopedic shoes. In addition, they provide ongoing care and maintenance of orthotic devices, including adjustments, repairs, and replacements.
